Underfloor Heating

Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating works by pumping a controlled flow of warm water from any heat source through plastic tubing embedded in the floor; because the floor area is large, sufficient warmth is provided even on a cold winters day with no need for supplementary heating.

BENEFITS

  • Design freedom - No obtrusive radiators to take up valuable wall and floor space.

  • Lower heating bills - the low system water temperature of underfloor heating enhances the efficiency of condensing boilers giving fuel savings of typically up to 40%.

  • Comfort - Underfloor heating produces mainly radiant warmth; the entire floor is heated meaning warmth is radiated evenly giving ideal comfort conditions.

Underfloor heating is an ideal way to heat the whole house, upstairs and down. This flexible system is also available as a ground floor only option, for multi-room extensions or as a single room one zone package.

A SOLUTION FOR EVERY BUILDING

Underfloor heating can be used in new-build properties, renovations, barn conversions, appartments, extensions and conservatories - it has even been installed in tree-houses. Innovative floor constructions have also been specifically developed for retrofit into older properties. All systems meet current regulations and warm water underfloor heating is listed under the Government's Green Deal finance initiative as an energy-saving technology.

QUALITY COMPONENTS, QUALITY SERVICE

We provide a guaranteed, bespoke system designed for every individual project and all mechanical and electrical components have an extensive warranty, meaning customers can have complete confidence in the service provided at every stage and technical back up for the lifetime of the system.

FLOOR CONSTRUCTION OPTIONS

We will advise customers on the best solution for their individual system and take care of all aspects of the installation from order to handover.

There are over 60 variations of floor construction available suitable for solid and floating floors, floors with timber joists, sound-proof versions for flats and low height options such as LoPro10 for renovation profects.

INTEGRATION

Underfloor heating can be used with all types of standard boiler - gas, oil and LPG - it is also the perfect partner for renewable technologies such as heat pumps.

Heat pumps work most efficiently when the water they supply to the heating system is between 35C and 45C, which is ideal for a low temperature heat emitter such as underfloor heating.

We offer impartial advice on the best solution for the individual project to all our customers and ensure that all elements of the heating system are effectively integrated.

SYSTEM CONTROL

Control options range from simple dial thermostats, to pushbutton and touchscreen versions as well as sophisticated models that can be accessed via internet or smartphone.
